Fiesta De Moscatel
As the sun sets on summer, Teulada Moraira welcomes residents and visitors alike to the much-anticipated "Festa del Moscatell". Scheduled for August 31, 2024, the "Festa del Moscatell" celebrates the rich viticultural heritage of the region, showcasing the unique flavors and cultural significance of the renowned Moscatell wine.
The main events of the Festa del Moscatell will commence at 10:00 AM with the anticipated "Experiencias con el Moscatell". Participants will gather at the Font de l´Horta embarking on a picturesque horse-drawn carriage ride to the Bancal Roig where the traditional grape harvest for the Cavalcada del Moscatell will take place.
The Cavalcada de Moscatell Parade
A highlight of the day will be the Cavalcada del Moscatell taking place at 7:00 PM along the Avenida de Santa and culminating at the Glorieta of the Ermita de Sant Vicent This vibrant parade will feature the participation of children's festival committees, the Grup de Danses Font Santa and beautifully adorned floats pulled by horses from the Associacio Alejandro Morell all set to traditional music provided by the Colla el Falc This colorful event serves as a visual and auditory celebration of the community's cultural heritage.
Evening Festivities
The festive atmosphere will intensify with numerous activities starting at 7:30 PM. The plaza will spring to life with an exhibition of local products from wineries, traditional dance performances, and the Cantada d´albades accompanied by the folk instruments dolcaina and tabal In an effort to engage attendees further, there will be competitions, children's workshops, and the cherished Xapada del Vi a celebration of the winemaking process.
The Comissio de Festes Sant Vicent 2025 will tantalize taste buds with an array of Moscatell-inspired tapas and vermouth, all accompanied by live music that enhances the celebratory ambiance. Additionally, from 8:00 PM onward, a wine tasting organized by the Associacia Defensors del Moscatell will offer guests a refined taste of the region's best wines, leading into a popular communal dinner at 9:00 PM. The night will culminate in a lively verbena at 11:00 PM, enveloping the plaza in music and merriment.
